Dash and Lily have had a tough year since they first fell in love among the shelves of their favorite bookstore. Lily’s beloved grandfather suffered a heart attack, and his difficult road to recovery has taken a major toll on her typically sunny disposition.
With only twelve days left until Christmas—Lily’s favorite time of the year—Dash, Lily’s brother Langston, and their closest friends must take Manhattan by storm to help Lily recapture the unique holiday magic of a glittering, snow-covered New York City in December.

I am such a Holiday book lover! I start to plan my Holiday TBR before Halloween! I read Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares for the first time last year and really loved it! I was so excited to see that there was a sequel and knew that I had to add it to my Holiday TBR!

I am a but sad to say that I struggled with the book for the first 80 pages or so. I am not sure what to say without spoiling the book for everyone, but I noticed that a lot of people are talking about how Lily is very depressed at the beginning of the book so I figure it is safe to say that. She is not the Lily from the first book and I had trouble getting into this story because of that.

I will say that Dash is SO Dash and I just absolutely loved him more after this one! Also, once we got past the sadness at the beginning, the pace of the book really picked up and the fun and silly shenanigans of the first book began and I was so happy and excited! I felt like MY Dash and Lily were back and the second half of the book went much better!

Our favorite characters were back! Mrs Basil E, Boomer and Lily’s brother appeared more in this book too and I loved every second!

There were several LOL moments, a lot of warm and fuzzy moments and a few “awwwwwww” moments that redeemed the book for me! So my only advice going into reading this one is… be prepared for something different than the first book and don’t judge the book by the first 8- pages or so.

If you loved the fun and adventure of Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares, you will love this one too! It filled me with Christmas cheer and put a huge smile on my face!

After a messy breakup, Leigh Holloway is ready to start her life over. Until her parents put the family home on the market and call her back for one final, memory-making Christmas. The last thing she wants to do is deprive her mom of the perfect holiday, so she'll lie her way through the visit and worry about her future in the New Year. Too bad the only bar in town is owned by a guy she seriously wronged in high school.
Leigh's best friend broke Croy Dawson's heart, and Croy knows it was Leigh's fault. They've never liked each other, but Croy isn't cruel: he'd never turn away a pretty woman in need of some family-Christmas fortification. He doesn't expect her to drink just enough candy-cane martinis to tell him her secrets—and he definitely doesn't expect to get caught up in her holiday madness.
Despite the surprising love and laughter, Croy and Leigh can't escape the truth: he can't walk away from his family obligations and she has a life and career to reboot. But anything is possible if your holiday comes with a twist…

When I read the synopsis for Holiday With a Twist I thought it sounded like a cute and fun Holiday romance and that is exactly what it was!

Leigh returns to her childhood home after a breakup forces her to leave her job and her apartment. She is there to help her parents pack up their family memories and move to a condo  while she figures out what to do next. When she goes to the only bar in town, she finds that it is owned by Croy Dawson, her former best friends Ex and her former friend since childhood.

Holiday with a Twist had all the warmth of a festive Family Christmas. I loved the closeness of Leigh’s family. Also, since this was told in Dual POV we got to see Croy’s family as well, who were also close knit and they were all connected by this quaint small town which I loved.

The book was a bit too fast paced for me and so I didn’t feel the build up of the romance and because of that if felt a bit insta-lovey to me. However, I did appreciate that the two had been been friends since childhood and reconnected after several years so the romance didn’t come out of nowhere. I did end up really rooting for them.

This book was short and so I felt the plot was a bit rushed. I think I would have liked it more if it had been lengthened a bit more and the romance drawn out just a little more.

This was a very cute and fun Holiday romance! I recommend it if you are looking for a quick Holiday read to get you in the spirit!
