February 4, 2017 // Posted by Becca in Stacking the Shelves, Weekly Recaps // 12 Comments

Weekly Recap is a weekly feature here at Lost in Literature where we discuss all things bookish from the past week!

I’ve linked to Stacking the Shelves, hosted by Tynga at Team Tynga’s Reviews & The Sunday Post, hosted by Kim at Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Life Happenings

Not much to report over here for me, our heat went out and we were freezing cold but after a little more than 24 hours a repairman was able to fix it and now we’re warm again! YAY! No heat in New England in January is no fun at all!

My son started Karate and he is really enjoying it! He loves to go and they make it so fun for little kids! My daughters dance costumes are coming in one by one and she is in glittery, sequined heaven 🙂

I am finding it so hard to find time to read, can you guys give me some tips for how you fit it in to your daily routines?

The first two books I received in subscription boxes that I rep for! The second two are copies that my bestie Lisa got for me!

Currently Reading

Notice that two of these books are the same books I have been trying to read since my last recap 🙁 I have only been able to finish Audios because I am always on the go and listening! So heart breaking!

I can’t get enough of your instagram! While you have the cold, I have the heat here in Australia. I love summer, but sometimes the heat is way too much.

Thanks for the post and hope that Feb is great for you

  • Boo to no heat but glad it got fixed. I honestly don’t know how I fit in my reading. I guess when the kids are playing I am usually reading or listening. I always have audios going for when I clean and cook which helps. I can imagine that your beautiful bookstagram takes a lot of time. Hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books!

  • Jessica @ a GREAT read

Oooh nice! I really enjoyed Violet Grenade despite it not being my usual type of read! It was most exciting!! Ooh Roseblood! Still need to read that one too! Hope you enjoy all the lovely new reads!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!

  • I’m no help with fitting reading into your routine. I only read at night after the little ones go to bed and sometimes that’s only a chapter or two. =/ I can’t wait to hear what you think of Roseblood and All in Pieces.

  • I’m so glad you got your heat fixed quickly! As far as fitting reading into my daily routine, it’s something I feel like I could get better at, too. Something that works for me is setting aside certain periods each day to read when I’m planning out my schedule for the week. That edition of Sense & Sensibility is tooooo pretty! <3 I hope you have a great week, Becca!

Being freezing cold is not enjoyable! When I first moved into the bungalow house (as I call it), I didn’t have any heat. Or hot water. Freezing cold shower and piled on all the blankets and the dog and was still cold! So glad you got yours fixed soon. I always pick a go-to genre I love when I’m struggling. Middle grades always helps me get through a slump, too.

  • Grace Fonseca

Your instagram pics are great. I hope you love all of them.

  • I am super excited for Until it Fades! I love K.A. Tucker and the synopsis for this one has me all kinds of excited for it. Glad to hear you managed to get the heat fixed quickly!

    Tanya @ GIRL PLUS BOOKS

  • I SO want to read Fear the Drowning Deep but ahahaa omg is it bad that most of that is because COVER LOVE. I mean, it’s so pretty!

  • You got some awesome books to read!

Also, I’m glad you got your heat fixed so quickly. No heat=misery. I’m Canadian and I hate the cold! That’s why I moved to North Carolina – to get away from winter.

  • Looks like some great new books! 😀 Hope you’ll enjoy them all. As for squeezing some time in to read in your day, I don’t have kids, so I don’t really know if this’ll help, but I carry a book with me wherever I go. You’ll find me reading at the bus stop, on my way to uni, at lunch, or basically in every pause I have in the day where I can take out my book and start reading 😀 Maybe if you have to wait to pick up your kids or something, you could read then? 🙂

Great wrap up! I hope you’ll have a great February. 😀

  • Oh gosh, so glad you got your heat back! New England can definitely get pretty freezing in the winter 😀

    Enjoy your new books! <3
