Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco, aka His Royal Hotness, is wickedly charming, devastatingly handsome, and unabashedly arrogant; hard not to be when people are constantly bowing down to you.
Then, one snowy night in Manhattan, the prince meets a dark haired beauty who doesn't bow down. Instead, she throws a pie in his face.
Nicholas wants to find out if she tastes as good as her pie, and this heir apparent is used to getting what he wants.
Dating a prince isn't what waitress Olivia Hammond ever imagined it would be.
There's a disapproving queen, a wildly inappropriate spare heir, relentless paparazzi, and brutal public scrutiny. While they've traded in horse drawn carriages for Rolls Royces, and haven't chopped anyone's head off lately, the royals are far from accepting of this commoner.
But to Olivia, Nicholas is worth it.
Nicholas grew up with the whole world watching, and now Marriage Watch is in full force. In the end, Nicholas has to decide who he is and, more importantly, who he wants to be: a King... or the man who gets to love Olivia forever.
“I was known before I was born and my name will be blazoned in history long after I’m dust in the ground. Infamy is temporary, celebrity is fleeting, but royalty…royalty is forever.”
I am a huge Emma Chase fan and I have been ever since her Tangled series, although the Legal Briefs series was truly my favorite! When I saw that she had a new series coming out that was centered around a fictional Royal family I could not wait to get my hands on these books! I got the Audiobooks so that I could dive right in! Especially once I saw that Shane East was narrating… sexy British accent? Yes please!
The Royally series begins with Royally Screwed and I found myself quickly immersed into this Royalty filled world! This story is all about Nicholas Arthur Frederick Edward Pembrook, Crowned Prince of Wessco… phew that was a mouthful! When Prince Nicholas is sent to The United States to bring home his wayward younger brother, he meets Olivia Hammond in her families small bakery/coffee shop and becomes enamored with her and her very feisty attitude 😉 The two begin a relationship that is doomed from the start, as Nicholas is the heir to Wessco and is required to marry a native Wesconian.
I absolutely adored Nicholas, he was so passionate and funny, I felt so terrible for all of the pressure put on him as the Heir to the Throne and the constant media attention. The mask of the perfect royal he had to put on felt like a punishment, but the person he was with Olivia was so different and that was the Nicholas I loved most. I really liked Olivia too, she was such a hard worker and so loyal to her family. SHe was forced into a life she didn’t necessarily want after her Mothers death and she took the whole wait on her shoulders so support her family. She was so beautiful and so strong. Together these two lit up the pages of this book! Their passion and chemistry was on fire from the very first encounter! I could not get enough of them and had trouble putting this book aside to do basically anything else!
“She has no idea who I am … Her ignorance is rather…thrilling. There are no expectations, no hidden agendas, no reasons to pretend – what she sees is what she gets. And all she sees is me.”
These characters were so full of life and I found myself loving them all so much! From Nicholas’ friends Simon and Fanny, to his brother Henry, his Grandmother the Queen who truthfully scared and fascinated me and even members of his security team! I found myself totally loving this entire cast of characters!
This royal world that Emma Chase created was so magical, from the scenery and setting of Wessco to the family and friends that surrounded Nicholas. It was so well done and had me totally believing in Wessco and this royal family! I loved every single second! As soon as I finished this I immediately dove into the second book!
She takes my hand and places it over her breast – where her heartbeat throbs wildly in her chest. “And do you feel this?”
My own chest pounds with the same rhythm.
“Some people go their whole lives without feeling that.”

Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.
He’s not handling it well.
Hoping to help her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora agrees to give him "space"—but while the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:
Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.
A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world's most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.
While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.
The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit... and her naughty sense of humor.
But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.
As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like, Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.
*This review does not contain spoilers for Royally Matched, but will contain spoilers for Royally Screwed the first book in this series*
“I’ve never been very good at doing what I’m told.
It’s a problem.
Or a reflex. If they say left, I go right. If they say sit, I jump. If they say behave, I get drunk and spend the weekend screwing all three of the Archbishop’s tripled nieces.
They were nice girls. I wonder what they’re doing this Friday?”
I could not wait to dive into Royally Matched… and I mean that very literally! I tried to start another Audiobook and found myself thinking of Prince Henry so much that I had to put the other Audio down to start this one! From the first page I was pulled in and although I LOVED Nicholas, I found myself falling for Henry even more!
Prince Henry is now the Heir to the crown of Wessco, a role he is not sure he wants and is in no way prepared for. After many debacles, the Queen has sent Henry away to gather his thoughts and prepare himself for this huge role and the expectations that it comes with. Before he is sent away, Henry is offered a deal from an American television producer to have his very own dating show, where 24 women of royal blood will date him for the chance to become his wife and the future Queen. Think of the Bachelor… but a royal edition! Our very rebellious Henry decides that what Grandmother doesn’t know won’t hurt her and he thinks that this show sounds like quite a lot of fun and agrees to take part. As the women begin to arrive and to fight each other for his love and attention, Henry can’t help but notice the quiet girl in the corner of the room Sarah, yes she is of noble decent but she is not competing and is there instead to support her sister. The two become friends and one thing leads to another until Henry finds himself in another mess that he has no idea how to get out of.
Many of you know that I am a hopeless romantic and that one of my guilty pleasure is The Bachelor, so my excitement grew for this book ten fold once I read the synopsis, especially considering how much I loved Henry already from his brothers book. If I found myself hopelessly addicted to Nicholas’ story, it was even worse with Henry’s I did NOT want to stop listening I was so completely hooked on Henry and Sarah and loved every single second of their story!
Our sweet misguided Henry! Oh how I loved him in the first book and even more now, he was so strong and rebellious yet soft and sweet with this warm and fuzzy side that you just can’t help but love. He stole my heart completely in this book! Considering how mcuh I loved Nicholas I didn’t think I could love Henry more but I definitely did!
I loved Sarah too, she was so sweet and kind and a complete bookworm which of course I loved! But she also had this deep side to her and tragedies from her past that made me totally empathize and care for her. Henry and Sarah were one of those couples that felt so perfectly right for each other from the beginning, complementing and making the other better in every way. I found myself totally mesmerized by their love story. It was more than passion and sex, it was a true OTP in my eyes 🙂 I loved their journey and I loved both the seriousness and silliness that came with it.
“I’ve never had someone who was just mine, body and soul – mine to protect and hold and love. And that’s what Sarah is…she belongs to me now. We belong to each other.”
We got to see the characters that we loved from the first book and get to know them better, we got to see more of Wessco and how it works and I found myself falling even more for this fictional royal world!
I highly recommend this series if you are a contemporary lover and heck even if your’e not! Emma Chase has blown me away once again, these Royal brothers and their beautiful Kingdom have stolen my heart and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with next in this series! I am an Emma Chase fan for life!!
