Lisa’s Picks:

There are several key terms in synopsis and book descriptions that immediately catch my attention. Whether it’s a favorite romance trope, story setting or type of character, these key terms are impossible for me to pass up.

I’ve recently been loving more and more sport realated novels. I love watching sports so I just read to read about it too. I also agree with so many of these lists. Thanks for the post.

    • There’s just something about sports, especially sports romances, that win me over every time. 🙂

  • Jessica @ a GREAT read

OOoh nice ones!! I love the re-tellings too! And I’m all over paranormal reads! Will never tire of those!

    Here’s my Tuesday Post

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower 🙂

  • Yes so many great ones I love!! Road trips and enemies to lovers were on my list but I love sports/athletes, second chance romances and magical settings too.

  • I love so many of these! Magical worlds, friends to more, and kick ass heroines are some of my favorites! Great lists, ladies!

  • I’ve been reading so many fairy tale retellings lately, and I’ve been getting into retellings of classics, as well!

  • I love every single one of these! Though I do have to admit that I cut back on the cowboy romances because I think I burned myself out on them for a while. I think after a little break on them, I will be right back to reading them tho. lol!

  • Charlie Anderson

I love second chance and enemies-to-lovers romances. I also like boarding schools (Looking for Alaska, The Keeper of Dawn). I’m starting to get into the retelling world.

  • I totally forgot about road trip books! They’re a huge favourite of mine and even if I’m not sold on the rest of a synopsis, the instant I see “road trip” I’m sold. I think it’s because I’m such a homebody that I like to live vicariously through other peoples’ travels. lol. I haven’t gotten too into sports books, but I do love Miranda Kenneally’s books.

  • Both of you have awesome lists! I agree with so many of these. Private school settings, retellings of classics, magical worlds, and musicians all made my list this week, too! I also love a good friends-to-more romance. I totally forgot road trip, but I love those, too!

  • You both have some great picks! I love retellings and magical settings. There’s something so fantastic about them.

  • Ohh I love both your lists!! So many of these things grab my attention too!❤️ Like retellings = YAS. I’m such a sucker for them, especially Peter Pan. And I love enemies to lovers. 😂 And unique new worlds, particularly if they’re insanely magical or imaginative!!

  • Eva

YES YES YES re: road trips, second chance romance, enemies to lovers and prep/private school! Love all of these!!

  • kindlemom1

I see some of my favorite themes and tropes on here as well!

  • I wholeheartedly approve of friends-to-more! In real life and in books, haha.

  • Ooooo some great choices! How did I forget fairy tale retellings?!!!
Second chance romances made my list this week too!
Unique worlds is a great one, I love a good fantasy world 🙂

  • Yes to all of these! I love retellings, and books with friends-to-more romances are my favorites as well (I LOVED Magnolia!). 🙂 Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous post! <3

  • Leslie Hauser

Hi! So many of these for me, too! Athletes, second chances, friends to love! I love those 🙂

  • Retellings are my weaknesses. And after rereading the Twilight Saga, I think a paranormal kick may be in order for me now too. I also totally understand the new and unique worlds! They are so fun to discover.
