Becca’s Favorite Audiobooks
I am so excited to be participating in the June is Audiobooks (JIAM) blog tour! I am an Audiobook lover at heart! Lately it seems to be the only way I can get any reading done! I listen while I shop, cook, clean and even while I drive! Since I took the dive into the Audiobook world I have enjoyed so many Audiobooks! Picking my top 5 favorites was definitely hard, but I narrowed it down to five that I think anyone would love to listen to when they start out on their own Audiobook journey!
Clipped Wings by Helena Hunting
Clipped Wings was my first Audiobook… EVER! So it will always hold a special place in my heart and so will the narrators Jason Carpenter and Elizabeth Louise.
You by Caroline Kepnes
You is possibly my favorite Audiobook of ALL time! Narrator Santino Fontana is absolutely amazing and captured this character with such an exceptional performance!
Caraval by Stephanie Garber
Caraval was such a beautiful and magical book and narrator Rebecca Soler’s narration captured all of that perfectly!
Cinder by Marissa Meyer
The entire Lunar Chronicles series is PHENOMENAL on Audio! Rebecca Soler masters each character and each voice in such a magical way! Can you tell that Rebecca Soler is one of my absolute favorite narrators!
The Raven Boys by Maggie Steifvater
Another series that is wonderful on Audio is The Raven Boys, narrator Will Patton brings a unique voice to a truly unique series. I loved listening to these Audios!
Lisa’s Favorite Audiobooks
Above you’ll find a few of my very favorite audiobooks. Whether it’s a narrator who can bring the author’s humor to a whole new level (like in Wallbanger and Geek Girl), or a narrator who is incredible and off-the-charts amazing at becoming the character himself (such as Santino Fontana who, in my opinion, now IS Joe, the main character in YOU), there’s just nothing like listening to that perfect audiobook.
I’ve been a huge audiobook fan for approximately the last 6 years. The very first book I ever listened to on audio was Shatter Me. (This is probably why it will always stay on my Favorites List. ♥) I was immediately drawn in by how awesome the narrator was, and how even though I was driving at the time, I was able to be transported into another world while listening, fully engulfed in the story. From that moment forward, I was hooked. I listen to audiobooks now while driving, running errands, doing housework, etc. Any time when I’m able to listen, but not actually have a book in my hands to read, I turn on an audiobook. I listen to a majority of contemporary reads, mostly romance or very cute YA beach reads. I have a few favorite narrators that I’ve grown to adore, and I almost always choose the audiobook route if I see one of their names listed as narrator.
