A Goodbye of Sorts…

We know this is going to come as a HUGE surprise to most of you, but we have decided to no longer blog here at Lost in Lit. We both have a lot going on in life right now, and something had to give. Sadly, after much consideration, back and forth, (and even a few tears) we’ve decided that the blog is the thing that we’ll have to let go. We hope you’ll all continue to keep in contact with us via social media, as we will never stop reading and plan to remain a part of the bookish community for as long as we can.

I wrote my first post on 12/13/10, almost seven years ago. Deciding to blog was a spontaneous decision at the time, but one of the best decisions I could have made. It helped me become a part of what I think is one of the best communities around. This community has introduced me to so much, and I couldn’t be more thankful. I’ve met such amazing people, several of whom I consider my closest friends. I feel so blessed to have been a part of this community for so long, and I hope that never changes. I’m not, in any way, saying goodbye to the bookish community as a whole. I adore being a part of this amazing group of people, and I’d never want to lose that. Becca and I have just made the extremely difficult decision that something has to give at this point in our lives… and after much consideration, we’ve decided it should be this blog. We both have other channels and will continue to be active on them consistently. You can find me on my Bookstagram, Tumblr, and Twitter accounts on a daily basis, and you can always stay up-to-date on all of my current reads on Goodreads. I will continue to post about my TBR and book recommendations on Bookstagram, my reviews on Goodreads, and all the bookish chatter on Twitter. Please be sure to find me and say hello. I’m really going to miss seeing your comments every day. I want to thank you all for the encouragement, love and support you’ve always shown us here at Lost in Lit. Becca and I will always be a team in my eyes. (We’re sisters-in-law and besties in real life, so we’re inseparable! ♥) I hope you’ll all stay in touch with us! ♥ ♥

I don’t know where to start, I guess it will be with a Thank You. From the second I joined Lisa on this blog, I received nothing but love and support. I felt welcomed and I learned so much about this amazing world of books and blogging. I have enjoyed my time within this community so much and I am so sad to see it end here on the blog. Unfortunately, circumstances in life have forced me to give something up and the time commitment that blogging and commenting on other blogs takes is just not possible for me anymore. This may be a goodbye for the blog, but it is not a goodbye forever! All of the links to find me are below and I hope to see all of you, whether it be on Instagram, Twitter or Tumblr (where I will continue to blog but not as intensely). So please find me so that we can still chat about books and life! I have grown to love so many of you and I don’t want to lose contact. Again, thank you so much for your support and love! I could not have asked for a more amazing group of bookworms!!

  • So sorry to see you go Lisa and Becca! You’ve been part of this community for as long as I remember (I turned 5 in May). As I often said, life gets busier and busier the older my kids get and the same goes for work and my level of responsibility there. I completely understand and I will probably reach that point in the next few years.

Thank you so much for such an amazing time and good luck 🙂
