Short, sweet, spoiler-free reviews from two sisters-in-law that share a passion for books!
My name is Lisa, and I’m a huge lover of all things books. The feel… the smell… the covers… I just love it all! I’m completely obsessed with owls, I adore a warm cup of coffee basically any time, and I would wear sweats and a hoodie every day, all day long if I could. I guess I’m a bit of a tom boy, you could say. 🙂
I have a wonderful family, who is my entire life. I have the best husband in the world, who supports me in everything I do. Couldn’t ask for more. My son is my whole world… he’s just awesome. Words can’t even describe him.
I have a full-time job, and try to find time to read when I can. Usually it’s an hour at night before falling asleep. Face it… we’d all much rather dream about our fictional character friends at night, rather than normal daily life stressers, right? 😉
I’m a huge Cover Girl and can really appreciate the time and energy that goes into picking that “perfect” cover. I do tend to purchase books based on their covers alone, though I will never turn away a book based on that.
I’m a bit neurotic when it comes to my books. I don’t crease the bindings, fold over pages, damage the covers in any way… seriously, when I’m done reading my books, they still look brand new. I just absolutely adore a “brand new” book, so by looking at my bookshelf you will have no way of telling what I’ve already read. 😉
Here at Lost in Literature you will find mostly YA book reviews and Chick Lit book reviews, with some others thrown in there. I run this website for fun… mainly because who doesn’t like to share their thoughts after reading a good book?! I’m also always up for helping authors, especially indie authors, promote their books and get their names out there as much as I can. 🙂
I love to meet new fellow book bloggers and authors and chat about books as well, so feel free to contact me or follow my blog and join in on the fun!

Where do I begin in the explanation of who I am… let me start with my wonderful family! I have an amazing husband who is so supportive and loving. He is an awesome Daddy to our three children. Speaking of children… I have a 17 year old step daughter and she is an awesome girl, a Junior in high school with great grades and bright future. I also have a 5 year old daughter, she is beautiful, smart and wickedly talented. She loves to sing and dance and draw, she is our budding artist! Last but not least, there is my 2 (almost 3) year old son Grayson. He is Mommy’s little boy and is the happiest, cuddliest little boy in the world. He loves dinosaurs, cars and sports… already! My kids and my husband are my life and I am so lucky to have them!
Outside of my time with my family, I work as an administrative assistant and I love my boss and my job. In my free time, I hang with the kids, take pictures and create scrapbooks and… of course… I read!
On that note… I think it goes without saying that I love to read. Reading is my passion and my happy place. I also love to write. So the blog and book reviews have really allowed me to express my creativity while taking a little time for myself. I love to cuddle up with a warm blanket, my kindle and a cup of coffee in my hands. Or maybe that’s the Winter talking… I hope to soon be poolside with an iced coffee and my Kindle!! Either way I am blissfully happy (especially if there is chocolate involved too)!
I like to think of myself as an equal opportunity reader I am up for trying most anything! My favorite book genres are YA, Fantasy, Chick Lit and Contemporary or NA Romance. But as I said, I will try most anything and I look forward to the blog exposing me to new genres, new Authors and other bloggers too! I have also recently been getting into indie fiction and hope that I can help some Authors who are starting out to get their name out there!
Lisa and I have awesome plans to rock this blog! I hope that our current followers and those to come like what I have to contribute and are happy with my addition!
I love to read and I am so excited to share my passion for books! I look forward to making connections with other bloggers and Authors and welcome emails and feedback and hopefully some new followers to our blog with open arms!
